Why can't I find the Megalodon event?

The Megalodon event only has a 5% chance to spawn at each day/night transition. Use Sundial Totems to force day/night switches every ~20 seconds. On average, the event triggers within 10 minutes of spamming totems.

What rod do I need for Megalodon?

Megalodon weighs ~50,000 kg, so you need a high-Control rod. Best options: Rod of the Forgotten Fang (guarantees Megalodon after 5 perfect catches), Trident Rod (freezes fish bar), or Rod of the Depths.

Where do I get Shark Head bait?

Buy Shark Head bait from Terrapin Island for 525 C$ each. You can also get it rarely from red Quality Bait crates. This is the ONLY bait Megalodon will bite.
