Best Fishing Spots in Fisch - Location Guide

How the Ranking Works

  • For each spot, the tool takes the fish you catch there with a rod and their NPC sell values from the Fisch Wiki, at average weight with no mutation.
  • It leaves out fish your rod cannot hold: the Fisch Wiki says a fish whose lightest weight is above the rod's Max Kg never bites on it. Crates, relics, keys and other items are left out too; they sell, but they are not fish.
  • Spots are sorted by the average sale of their three most valuable fish. That is not money per hour: valuable fish are usually rare, and how often they bite depends on luck, bait and weather. For an hourly estimate, use the Fisch Money Calculator.
  • Only places in the game today count (not the removed Second Sea or past event areas), and only fish you catch with a rod on a normal visit: fish that appear just during a Hunt, Migration, Eruption or event, or only in Crab Cages, are left out. Lava and brine spots only count for rods with enough Durability.
  • 17 places need an item, quest, puzzle or vehicle to get in, such as The Depths, the Mariana's Veil areas and the Kraken Lair in Atlantis. They stay out of the ranking until you tick them under "Places you can reach", so a new player is not sent somewhere they cannot get into yet. The Chasm never appears: you catch crystals, ore and trash there, but no fish.

Where to Start

Your first rod upgrade is the Magma Rod, and it is free. Start on the Flimsy Rod at Moosewood until Level 5, buy a Rowboat (400 C$), then sail to Roslit Bay. The Orc there (-1850, 165, 160) gives you the Magma Rod for a Pufferfish, which you catch in the Coral Reef. Fish at Carrot Garden for C$ and XP. After that, the Rod Advisor lists each next rod and where to get it.

Before You Sail

  • Roslit Volcano needs a rod with at least 100 Durability; with less, the line snaps on the cast.
  • Brine Pool needs a rod with at least 200 Durability; with less, the line snaps on the cast.
  • Mariana's Veil is a cave system under Roslit Bay that you reach by Submarine.
  • Atlantis is reached through the crevice in the Grand Reef's central island, and its Kraken Lair opens after the Mythological Clocks. See the Atlantis guide.
