Pro Catching Strategy
Fish the Obsidian Trench at night with Meteor or Stag Beetle, or hunt it in the Ocean during an Earthquake. Its -95% reeling penalty is locked. The Tranquility Rod and Bellona's Waraxe cannot catch it.
Spawn Mechanics
An Earthquake has a 1 in 60,000 chance to start every second in the Ocean, about once in 15 hours with one player; each extra player fishing in the same area raises it by 10%. It lasts about 10 minutes. The EARTHQUAKE admin event also gives a 5% chance.
