Can drop when fishing anywhere - no location restriction
📦 Treasure Chest
Higher chance when opening Treasure Chests
My Test Results
- 100 fishing catches → Got 6 Magic Thread (6%)
- 30 Treasure Chests → Got 5 Magic Thread (~16.7%)
If you need Magic Thread fast, farming Treasure Chests is more efficient.
Where to Use Magic Thread
Magic Thread can only be used at one location: the Ancient Archives Crafting Altar.
Ancient Archives is a hidden area with a dedicated Crafting Altar. Bring your Magic Thread there to craft special rods.

My Recommendations
- Don't sell it: Magic Thread can't be sold or traded, but even if you could - the crafted rods are worth more
- Treasure Chests are more efficient: 15.9% vs 6% - if you need them fast, farm chests
- Save up before going to Ancient Archives: Each rod requires multiple Magic Threads, so stock up first
- Choose the right rod: All 6 rods have unique abilities - pick based on your playstyle
