How to Get Darkheart
Darkheart is a limited mutation. The Darkheart rod gives it on 15% of catches, but that rod was a developer gift and cannot be obtained now. Everyone else can only get it during the Subspace Destruction admin event, at 10%.
Darkheart multiplies a fish's sell value by 11.8x: a fish worth 1,000 C$ sells for 11,800 C$ with it. That is higher than 353 of the other 355 mutations with a fixed multiplier.
