How to Get Noxious
Only the Toxinburst Rod gives Noxious: 35% of normal catches, and every fish its passive ability brings in. You craft the rod at the Ancient Archives for 185,000 C$ with parts from the Toxic Grove.
Noxious multiplies a fish's sell value by 0.3x: a fish worth 1,000 C$ sells for 300 C$ with it. That is below 1x, so it makes a fish worth less than with no mutation at all.
Every Way to Get Noxious
| Source | Chance | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Toxinburst Rod | 35% per catch | Craft it at the Ancient Archives for 185,000 C$ from the Toxinburst Handle, Line and Shaft and a Toxic Jellymass, all from the Toxic Grove. |
| Toxinburst Rod passive | 100% | Fish brought in by the rod's passive ability are always Noxious. |
The Best Way to Get Noxious
Craft the Toxinburst Rod. Noxious cuts a fish to less than a third of its value, so treat it as a mutation to collect, not one to sell.
Good to Know
- The Toxinburst Rod can fish in lava pools and in noxious fluid pools.
- The Appraiser never gives Noxious.
How Noxious Changed
