The requirement is level 400; there is no quest and no C$ price. Everything else is the three materials below.

The Golden Sea Pearl is the slow part: at about 1 in 625 Clams, two pearls take around 1,250 Clams on average, and Luck does not help. Lunar Thread is the rarest from plain fishing, so Treasure Chests and Fallen Stars are the better bets. Both Roslit spots are in the locations database.

Collect the materials

Open the Ancient Archives
The puzzle room is down a rope inside a cave tucked behind the lower falls on the island. Place the Deep Sea, Solar, Earth and Ancient Fragments on their matching pillars and turn all four to face the front; the door opens for everyone once it is solved.

Craft the rod
The anvil is at the end of a bridge with big gaps over the void. A glider launched from the arches is one way across. Craft the rod there.

Rod Of The Eternal King Stats and Passive
- Greedy and Royal: every catch has a 60% chance for Greedy (5x) and a 10% chance for Royal (9.4x). See every multiplier in the mutations guide.
- Royal Escort: after a catch there is a 5% chance, or 10% after a Perfect Catch, to get Royal Escort for 3 minutes: +75% Luck, +25% Progress Speed and +10% Royal chance. A second proc does not extend it.
- Snapped line: if your line snaps during a catch, there is a 15% chance you get a fish of a higher rarity instead. This passive cannot catch the fish the wiki marks as passive-blocked.
