June 20 - September 5, 2026
The longest event in Fisch history: 77 days of beach minigames, Sunshell farming, exclusive mutations, and event-only rods. Here is everything worth doing before it ends.
How to Get to Fischfest Island
Head to Moosewood and touch the giant purple clam near the shore - it teleports you straight to the event island. Once you have completed 50% of the Fischfest 2 Bestiary, you unlock a shortcut: use the Magical Conch to travel to the island from anywhere in the game.
Earning Sunshells (Event Currency)
Sunshells buy almost every event reward, and the best rods are expensive. Four reliable sources:
1. Fishing (most dependable)
Catch and sell event fish. Every 1,000 C$ earned converts into 1 Sunshell. Fish during Tropical Sun weather for 9x Luck and better mutation odds.
2. Shoreline collecting
A wave rolls in every 25 seconds and washes shells onto the sand. Bigger shells pay more - the rarest Golden Sunshell is worth 500. Most drops vanish after about a minute, so grab fast.
3. Quests
Island NPCs pay Sunshells for tasks. Big milestones: 500 shells + 10 crates from Marina, 2,500 from the five-quest step, and 5,000 from the finale cutscene.
4. Coastal Crates & codes
Crates spawn and despawn at random around the island - up to +100 shells each. The code Fischfest2026 grants 50 Sunshells plus items, and KingCrabstle grants 75.
Beach Minigames
Jetski Racing
Three-lap track. Fast finishes unlock titles and the exclusive Fischfest-ski. You need to own a Jetski and find another player willing to race.
Sand Castle Building
15 seconds to memorize a design, 120 seconds to rebuild it. Entry costs 15 Sunshells, each win pays 30. An AI opponent is available, so you can grind solo.
Beach Volleyball
Keep the ball alive by stepping into the landing circle. No AI option - you need a partner for this one.

Tropical Sun, Tiki Hut & Heart of the Island
☀️ Tropical Sun weather
Daytime-only weather granting a flat 9x Luck boost and higher odds for the event mutations (Beached, Tropical, Paradise). You can force it with a Tropical Sun Totem or Weather Matrix.
🍹 Tiki Hut
Spend Sunshells on drinks for 15-minute buffs to Luck, XP, Mutation Chance and more. Paying 25 Sunshells for a random drink is the only way to get the Reef Refresher.
🗿 Heart of the Island
A hidden sub-location unlocked by placing all conches on their matching pedestals. It is the only area where the Flameslasher can be caught.
🏜️ Gateway to the Drylands
The new Drylands desert region (added July 4, 2026) is reached from the Fischfest island - walk behind the large castle to the landmass nearby. Full Drylands guide here.
Don't Wait Until August
Bank Sunshells across the whole run instead of cramming the final days. Limited catches only count while the event is live, shell-priced rods disappear the moment Fischfest closes, and any unspent Sunshells lose their value once the event ends.
