How the Dusekkar Rod Was Obtained
During FischFright 2 (October 18 to November 3, 2025) the Flying Dutchman turned up around the event area with three random items for sale, and the Dusekkar Rod was one of them at 25,000 Candy, the event currency. When the event ended the rod became Limited: the Fisch Wiki lists it as no longer obtainable, and our Rod Advisor leaves it out for that reason. A code once gave a skin for it, Acidic Dusekkar, which changes the look only.
Is It Back in FischFright 3?
Not so far. FischFright 3 began on October 17, 2026 and swaps Candy for a new currency, Treats. The Dutchman Merchant's wares on the Fisch Wiki (checked October 19, 2026) include relics, masks, totems and a boat called the Doomsekkar, but no Dusekkar Rod. The wiki page for the event is still marked under construction, so we will change this answer if that turns out to be wrong. The event's other quest rod is the Webweaver Rod, from Webby Winston at the Webridden Cavern.
The new one: Doomsekkar Rod
FischFright 3's rod is the Doomsekkar Rod, the reward for Doomsekkar's quest in the Caustic Hallow. The wiki calls it the Dusekkar Rod's haunted successor and lists +275% Luck, +100% Lure Speed, no weight limit and -666% Resilience. It plants pumpkin bombs on the reel bar that go off when the fish swims into them, and each catch has a 10% chance for the new Doomsekkar mutation (8x), higher with every bomb. Every quest step is in our Doomsekkar Rod guide.
Dusekkar Rod Stats and Ability
- Nightmare: a 20% chance per catch for Nightmare (8.8x), a mutation no other rod gives. See where it ranks in the mutations guide.
- Slash: each time the fish moves there is a 20% chance to slash it for +12% progress and stun it for 0.35 seconds. The rod also has +25% Progress Speed.
- The trade-off: 80% Resilience keeps fish calm, which also means they move less and trigger fewer slashes. A bait or enchant that lowers Resilience brings the slashes back. Control of 0.05 is low for its stage, so Perfect Catches take practice.
- Enchants: the Fisch Wiki suggests Herculean with Sea Prince (from an Exalted Relic) for more Control, Max Kg and Progress Speed, or Controlled if you have no Exalted Relic. Every enchant is in our enchantments guide.
- How it compares: 57 rods you can still get have more Luck. To pick one at your level, use the Rod Advisor or browse the Fisch rod list.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you get the Dusekkar Rod in Fisch?
You cannot get it right now. It was sold by the Flying Dutchman during FischFright 2 (October 18 to November 3, 2025) for 25,000 Candy and has been a Limited rod since that event ended. If you bought it then, you still have it.
Is the Dusekkar Rod back in FischFright 3?
Not as of October 19, 2026. The Dutchman Merchant in FischFright 3 sells for Treats, and the wares the Fisch Wiki lists have no Dusekkar Rod. The event instead adds the Doomsekkar Rod, a new quest rod the wiki calls its successor. The wiki page for the event is still being written, so we will update this if the rod shows up.
What are the Dusekkar Rod stats?
+166% Luck, +80% Lure Speed, 0.05 Control and 80% Resilience, with a 700,000 kg Max Kg.
What does the Dusekkar Rod do?
Each catch has a 20% chance for the Nightmare mutation (8.8x). Each time the fish moves, there is a 20% chance to slash it for +12% progress and stun it for 0.35 seconds, and the rod has +25% Progress Speed.
What is the difference between the Dusekkar Rod and the Doomsekkar Rod?
The Dusekkar Rod was a FischFright 2 shop rod. The Doomsekkar Rod is the FischFright 3 rod, from Doomsekkar's quest in the Caustic Hallow. The Fisch Wiki lists it with +275% Luck, +100% Lure Speed, no weight limit and -666% Resilience, pumpkin bombs on the reel bar and a 10% chance for the Doomsekkar mutation (8x). How to get it is in our Doomsekkar Rod guide.
Is the Dusekkar Rod good?
If you own it, yes: 80% Resilience makes most fish easy to hold, and Nightmare (8.8x) is a strong money mutation. The catch is its very low Control, which makes Perfect Catches hard. 57 obtainable rods have more Luck.
